Another trip to the Aircraft Hangar for another dismal gig. I think I just fell in with a bad crowd in the 6th form and follwed like a sheep to several of these awful nights out. This was real '80s soul(less) boy territory - to be fair Mick Hucknall has a good voice - just a shame that the songs are so god damned terrible and that he is such an objectionable git.

Whitney Houston - London Wembley Arena 1988

No I have no real idea why I went either! I think I just fancied her a bit. Anyway a group of us from school headed up to Wembley on the train and the journey through Cricklewood was as eventful as the concert - i.e. not at all. A real stop-start gig, too many ballards, too much wobbly chin warbling and some strangely wooden dancing. And this was when she was at her peak - can only imagine what it would be like today (shudder).
